Project Overview

Clarity is currency in wealth management.

In the high-stakes world of wealth management, clarity is currency. This project involved redesigning a fragmented, desktop-centric financial advisor platform into a unified, mobile-first client portal. The goal was to provide clients with real-time transparency into their complex portfolios, enabling informed decision-making on the go.

The Challenge

Information overload on every screen.

"Financial data is inherently dense. Clients were previously forced to navigate through multiple legacy systems to answer simple questions like "How is my portfolio performing today?" or "What is my current buying power?""

Desktop Dependency

Critical portfolio data was buried in complex spreadsheets inaccessible on mobile.

Cognitive Load

Users were overwhelmed by hundreds of data points with no clear visual hierarchy.

Fragmented Context

Holdings, activity history, and cash balances lived in separate silos.

The Solution

Progressive disclosure architecture.

I designed a mobile web experience that prioritizes skimmability without sacrificing the depth required for serious financial analysis. The solution centers on a "Summary-to-Detail" architecture.

Reduces Cognitive Load

Instead of overwhelming the user with 20 columns of data for every stock on one screen, you show just the essentials (Symbol, Price, G/L).

Prioritizes Skimmability

The user can quickly scan their whole portfolio to see the "big picture" without getting bogged down in the details.

Reveals Depth on Demand

When the user actually needs to see the tax lots, purchase dates, or cost basis, they click in. The complexity is there, but it's "hidden" until it's relevant.

"By applying progressive disclosure and visual hierarchy to complex financial data, we successfully bridged the gap between technical depth and mobile convenience. The result is a portal that empowers clients to own their financial journey, anywhere in the world."
